In 2010, Dr. Adrian Wagg, his then wife, and their two children Matthew and Helena moved to Laurier Heights from London, England as Adrian was taking a position as Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta.
Moving to Canada was a large change for the family, so initially they rented to get a feel for Edmonton. The children settled into school, and the family soon became a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Adrian in particular, embraced the cold Alberta winters by walking to work, taking up skiing and ice-fishing.
Laurier offered proximity to the children’s schools, the University, Edmonton Valley Zoo, and both Hawrelak and Buena Vista parks. Since travel is a large part of their lives, easy access to the airport was also a bonus.
